LOL,i havent seen that episode since it was first shown on TV here in the UK,i had forgotton all about that(Kryten made it because Lister was missing Rimmer i think)
i have series 1-6 on DVD,i think this was series 7 right?...dont think it was series 8,as that wasnt that good...could be wrong though,its been a while since i last saw the last two series
series 7 is correct. season 8 wasn't as good as previous seasons but i still like it and it makes me sad that it ends in a cliffhanger. no series 9. was there some reason it didn't continue? i had heard once that craig charles and chris barrie really hated each other in real life but i have no idea if it's really true. since you live there can you recommend any other shows that were similar? comedy scifi doesn't exist in the US unless it comes across the water from the BBC. I have hyperdrive. It's funny but in a different way than red dwarf.
comedy sci-fi as far as i know is pretty much dead now...i have always been meaning to watch Hyperdrive(as it has that guy who is usually with simon pegg..the new scotty in the new star trek film/prequel)
i really cant think of any other sci-fi comedies...unless you count Dr Who,LOL
not sure if they hated each other,they sound fine on the commentaries and the makings off
Craig Charles is now in Coronation street(this countries soap,made here in manchester)..and has been in trouble recently for having his photograph taken smoking crack in the back of a taxi cab...but he is back now,and the cast of coronation street welcomed him back by all of them singing the Red Dwarf theme tune
Chris Barrie..true to his Rimmer roots,does a programme on discovery,that i am guessing not a lot of people watched or even knew about called 'Chris Barries massive machines'..that looks at warships insides or rockets etc..but not telegraph poles,LOL
not sure why they havent done RD9...they have the fans,but perhaps they were ontop of the fact that series 8 wasn't as good as it should of been..not sure
it would be nice for 9 and maybe a 10 and have them get back to earth,and have some kind of closure(i always think of Bender now with the word closure)

A-As far as i know the main concentration is on producing a movie but perhaps one day someone will see the good sense in making another series of Red Dwarf.

A-A popular question to say the least! Sadly I can.t shed any new light on this. Obviously I would love the movie to happen but I am rapidly reaching the stage where it would be just good to do some new Red Dwarf product, whether it be a movie or TV special. ***

about Chris barrie and craig charles hating each other....i do know that chris barrie hated ...Rimmer,he hated all the typical Virgin and the like jokes
it wouldnt suprise me if thats how the brave and cool Rimmer from the parallel universe came about.....and thats kinda like how he left,but as you know,he came back...maybe because The Brittas Empire(his other sitcom) hadnt gone too well
dont worry too much if they both hated each other...lennon and mccartney hated each other as well(and i dont mean Listers robot fish)
