welcome to the club

my launch machine finally went in April(2 weeks before GTA 4 was to be released)

i was impressed with the service though,i got my 360 back in just over a week...hopefully you guys on that side of the pond have the same timeframe for service

it was funny actually because i just presumed that everyone else had their 360 in stupid places so that it just attracted Heat..thankfully for me,and for you the 3 year warranty will still be in effect

the new 60gig 360s are meant to be a little different inside, same chip, but some things have been moved about...perhaps so that heat doesnt build up in certain places,no doubt it wont be long until people get them on that as well

i am sorry for your loss

off topic

i was playing star wars battlefront 2 before and i looked at my friends list from the SWBF menu...and 'Mezzo had a wierd red and white square sign next to his name
i dont think he was online at the time
you got any idea what it is/was 'Mezzo?

I think we have all had rrod. It is just a right of passage that every xbox user has to go through. Maybe we will be able to get around to playing when you are back in the game.

As far as the weird swbattlefront friends list indicator, that is really weird. I haven't been in that game in months, so I don't know what was up with it to tell you the truth.

i will be playing some swbf2 if you all would like to get in on it.. but i have a problem... i have no internet in my office upstairs...where the xbox original is....

so... i have a set of clearplugs but they use up a lot of electricity plus i don't really have a place downstairs near the router to plug them in.... tell me if you think i can pull this off....

i have a desktop in the same room with a wireless connection to my router downstaris....

could i run ethernet from the xbox to the desktop (crossover?) and use internet connection sharing or bridge the connection to get internet to the xbox?
