I was downtown today...GOSH!!!! Can't a Mezzo take a trip to the city???
That's a classic children's book! a newberry award winner, in fact. Mezzo Takes a Trip to the City. he goes to the zoo, sees a real firetruck, and rolls drunks on the El.
Ok, I just spaced on the haiku thing. I had a line, I realized "because shut up, that is why" is 7 syllables. Maybe something about "your mom" and something else.
